Argggg! Talk about work! So sorry that happened. All this rain has caused our roof to leak in two places! So in between storms, Reid has been up on the roof trying to figure out where it is coming from! No fun! I keep telling myself that the dry days of summer are coming!
Oh NO! Lisa, that is awful! We don't even have a sump pump in our house so i can't even imagine how MAD I would have been. Were you able to get it all cleaned up?
We installed a sump pump last spring when it poured almost every day for, like, three weeks because I was so afraid of our newly finished basement flooding!
Just a question - does yours have a shut off valve? The guy at the hardware store recommended getting one when we installed ours because without one if there is even a little water left in the pipe or something like that (I can't remember exactly) it can cause the pump to run even though there isn't any water to pump out and there is the potential for it to burn out and then when you really need it, say when it pours for days, it's broken.
I'm so sorry you had to deal with this! There's nothing like a flooded basement to send a girl over the edge!
