Snowing Cottonballs

Well, the forecasters finally got it right! They said we were getting a big snowstorm today, and sure enough, we did!

When we woke up this morning, there wasn't much snow at all, probably about half an inch.

But as the day wore on, the snow really began to pick up the pace. At one point is was snowing so hard that they only way to describe it was that it was pouring snow!

Although Isabella and I played it safe all day inside the house, Anthony played the part of the great daddy and took her outside to brush off the trees. The snow is so wet and heavy that the tree branches are starting to look very bendy.

She wasn't too keen on bundling up to go outside, but once she was out there, this little girl was totally in her element. She loved every minute outside, and ever since we brought her back inside, she's been trying to get back out.

So far we've probably got about 5 inches (plus the 2 that melted earlier today), and are expecting anywhere between 10 and 20 total inches. At this point, the snow has not eased up at all. I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow we are snowed in!

Aren't you excited for a snow day! Isabella is so cute and looks great in her snow gear. Mine didn't want to go out in it and I was a-ok with that. Picking up one from school was enough. Enjoy the snow.

It is pretty fun, huh?! I never mind being snowed in or having loads of it when the whole family is home safe and snug in our little house! You should send Isabella out now - i bet some places are higher than she is tall!

That is the perfect description, it was pouring snow. Of course, it really picked up when I headed out for crossing guard duty! I took Fraser out on Saturday and he was loving it, good thing I have a lab and not a pomeranian, or he would have been lost in the snow.

So, has the snow melted yet? I remember in college, you always said that it would snow one day and melt a day or two later. Thankfully, we've been snow-free for a while--well, since Palm Sunday.

I was thinking about you today, since it's the 10th anniversary of Columbine. Love ya!
