The family sits down for a great steak dinner, with all the works! Fresh ribeyes straight from the bologna shop (the Dutch are famous for their bologna and their windmills). sauteed mushrooms and onions, baked potatoes with all the fixin's fresh green beans, and tomatoes with mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinegar! Do you have this image in your mind???
Now, imagine a sweet little baby, innocently playing in the highchair. She is completely content with her pieces of cheese, avocado, and potato. Her daddy decides that it's time to clean her up. He begins with her face, hands, and tray. As he begins to tackle the seat he notices that there is some kind of "muck" oozing out of the top of the angel's diaper and has started to create a sticky layer on the back of the highchair's seat.
Nothing can end a nice family dinner faster than puke and/or poop! All family members sprang into action:
*Anthony ran upstairs to start the bath
*Gramma grabbed a DARK colored towel to wrap Isabella in
*Lisa got the shirt off Isabella (over the head or down the legs...tricky)
*Grandpa grabbed an ice cream sandwich and did the dishes (smart man!!!)
Gramma and Lisa cleaned up what they could with wipes and then handed her over to Anthony for the bath. While Gramma started laundry, Lisa tackled the highchair. Grandpa continued to do the dishes!
Both Anthony and I are in agreement that this is probably the biggest blowout Isabella has had in all of her 42 weeks of life! Ah, don't you just love a relaxing vacation!!!
Soon I will be posting about the adventurous trip out to Iowa - it was pretty "crappy" too!!! Stay tuned...

Oh Lisa! I laughed out loud! And I had a mouth full of coffee! I don't know who to feel sorriest for - the cleaner uppers, or the pooper! I may have gone the way of Grandpa and walked away. :) I'm so glad you posted while you're away. We miss you around here!
I swear, it's been one event after another with this little girl. I'll post more soon! We're having a great time! We miss you too!
Lisa...I have been there done that! Aren't you glad that you were visiting your parents...so, you had some back up! I am so glad you are back!
I don't think I could have done it by myself. Isabella and I would probably still be at the table, in tears, wondering where to begin!!!
Oh, lisa, I am laughing because I am right there with you. Lydia is a marathon pooper and has blowouts all the time! Why does she have to poop so much? Who does that? And it usually happens when it's just me at home by myself. I'm so sick and tired of poop! I feel like all I do is change poopy pants. We've lost so many good outfits this way!
Meghan - I totally understand! I've tossed a few outfits myself! I have found the a combination of the Stain Stick (that Emily recommended) and OxiClean has worked magic on her clothes! It is amazing that such a little body is made up of so much poop!
