After only 14 months of waiting for approval from the HOA, we finally were approved to do a few minor changes to our house. When we moved in, the shutters, front door, and front rail were all painted a blue that was beginning to fade. Both Anthony and I really wanted to paint all of the blue red. So, on a warm Saturday, a few weeks ago, Anthony woke up EARLY and painted the house! Don't be fooled, Jared painted the highest parts on the front of the house, but Anthony painted the shutters, the front door, and the rail. He also put on his brave pants and got up on the big ladder in the back and painted the vent at the top of our house. This is the same vent that had been attacked by woodpeckers last year! Here is the finished product!
We also discovered that most of our trees in the font yard were dead, or near death. This prompted us to plant new trees! We have planted 2 Ash trees on the street, and will probably dig up the one closest to the fence and plant another one there, as well as a maple tree in the middle of the yard. Vinny came over and spent most of the day helping dig up and plant new trees. We can't wait for fall to see these beautiful trees with their colors. We are also looking forward to watching these trees grow!

Nice house, Lisa, I love the red accents. Not as nice as I would think it was, though, now that I know you are near lots of snakes.
